Studley Green - High Wycombe
The first visit consists of a thorough consultation, followed by a treatment, and will last approximately 1.5 hours. We will start with a discussion about you – your health, your lifestyle and your reasons for seeking chiropractic care. We will also ask you questions about your previous medical history, beyond your current pain/problem.
Next, we will conduct a physical examination. We may ask you to expose the skin of your back or around the specific area of your complaint – gowns will be provided for you to wear if you would prefer this.
Although some of the questions/testing may not appear relevant, but they help us to exclude potentially serious conditions requiring specialist medical advice. It is also extremely important we get as much information as possible to ensure we give you the most comprehensive diagnosis for your complaint.
After the examination, we will discuss your diagnosis and agree a plan of action together. If, however, chiropractic care does not appear to be suitable for you, we will provide a letter of referral for your GP or relevant specialist to ensure you get the best possible care. All of your medical records are confidential and no one else will be allowed to see your notes without your permission.
To make the first consultation easier, we would be grateful if you would please:
